Made for a doll either by mother or daughter, or working together.  During this era, star quilts very popular and a variety of names are documented, including:  Variable Star, Sawtooth Star, LeMoyne Star, Ohio Star, Evening Star and Lonestar.

All cotton fabrics, in popular colors of the era, including a beautiful mourning fabric.
